As a former San Clemente Planning Commissioner and chairperson, she looks for solutions, too, often on a larger scale. In fourteen years of service, she’s developed a reputation for helping developers, citizens, and neighbors find options that meet the city’s vision and codes without compromising the core of their dreams.

Nesa’s leadership in the community reaches beyond the Planning Commission. She’s served as president of the San Clemente Sunrise Rotary Club, Vice Chair of the Coastal Advisory Committee, a Deacon in her church and plays in and leads her church handbell choir.

She volunteers her time as a tutor and mentor of at-risk kids, she’s traveled to Mexico with the Corazon organization building homes and teaching vital job skills, and she spent a summer working in rural Philippines in a similar capacity.
